Meet the Team
Henry Wood Hall has a very small team which delivers over 250 recordings and rehearsals each year, working with every major British orchestra. The Hall is also home to the libraries of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Orchestra of the Royal Opera House and the London Sinfonietta.
Patrick Frazier Wood
General Manager
Patrick joined the HWH team in January 2026. He was previously General Manager of Sadler’s Wells East in Stratford and Head of Events at the Royal Academy of Arts.
Laura Kitson
Operations Manager
Laura joined the HWH team in March 2026 but has worked in the hall for many years in her previous role as Stage and Operations Manager for the London Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also had roles at Trinity Laban and Blackheath Halls.
Nicola Preece Smith
Facilities Assistant
Nicola has worked for the Hall since 2020 in various roles and joined full-time in February 2026. She runs the players’ café in the crypt and deals with most on-the-ground enquiries.
The longstanding and much-loved Managers, Andy and Charles, both retired at the beginning of 2026. Charles still runs the Royal Ballet Sinfonia library on site and works as a casual Duty Manager along with Ian Brignall. We are also supported in the hall by our piano tuner, Iain Gordon.
The Hall is also very dog friendly, so players and crew often pop up to the office to see Patrick’s dogs Melwyn and Cerigyn (pictured above) and Ian’s dog Bosley.
